When my sister and I were kids, I remember that my mother used to tell us stories before we went to bed. Of all the tales she shared with us, there was one that struck me very hard: it was about a little kid who never brushed his teeth. Even if I can’t recall the full story, I do remember the end: the poor child ended up with so much filth built up on his teeth, that he couldn’t open his mouth since his jaws were almost glued together.

Even though the story had no happy ending I can assure you that since my mom told it to us, every night before I go to sleep I still turn into a wise dentist and thoroughly take care of my oral hygiene. I’m sure my teeth are grateful for that.
There’s a reason why I like to tell this funny anecdote: that was the first story that helped me grow a little.

As I got older, many other stories have contributed to my growth and have opened my mind, helping me seeing things from other perspectives; and I know for sure that many stories are still out there waiting to be heard and I can’t wait to take them all in and become a better person. I am very thankful for everyone who shares their stories with me, in person or through their work.

Now, as a professional, I wish to give back and tell the world my own stories. I hope to do so through the art of animation, a powerful medium that allows for this and much more.
